Since 2004
The studio
The story
Twenty years
under the skin
When Saigon Ink opened its doors in 2004, tattooing in Vietnam lived mostly in back rooms. Danis Nguyen wanted a studio that treated it as what it is — an art form with a thousand-year history and a future worth building.
Two decades later the studio has grown to twenty artists across two locations, with work recognised far beyond the city: international convention awards, a founder ranked among the Top 100 tattoo artists worldwide and featured in The World Atlas of Tattoo — one of only sixteen Asian artists in its pages.
The address changed, the machines got quieter, the styles multiplied. The standard never moved: original design, honest advice, and ink that outlives trends.
What we hold to
House rules
Custom, always
Nothing off the wall unless you want it off the wall. Every design is drawn for you, for the exact placement, after a conversation — not before.
Hygiene without theatre
Single-use needles and cartridges, hospital-grade sterilisation, sealed stations set up in front of you. Ask to see anything; we like the question.
Honest counsel
If a design won't age well, won't fit the placement, or shouldn't be your first tattoo, we'll say so. We'd rather lose a session than sign bad work.

FAQ
Do you take walk-ins?
Yes — both studios take walk-ins daily, subject to artist availability. For a specific artist (especially Danis, who works mainly with local and referred clients) book ahead through the site.
How much will my tattoo cost?
Pricing depends on size, placement, detail and artist. After a free consultation you'll get a fixed quote for smaller pieces, or a session rate for large-scale work. A deposit secures your date and comes off the final price.
Does it hurt?
Yes, somewhat — less than you fear, more than nothing. Ribs, spine and hands sting most; arms and legs are gentler. We work at your pace and breaks are always fine.
How should I prepare?
Sleep well, eat before you come, skip alcohol for 24 hours, and wear clothing that exposes the placement comfortably. Bring your ID — you must be 18 or over.
How do I care for a fresh tattoo?
You'll leave with written aftercare and our contact details. In short: keep it clean, moisturise thinly, no pools, saunas or direct sun for two weeks, and never pick at it. Healing questions are answered free, forever.
